When I opened my call and saw that I was going to Richmond, Virginia speaking Spanish, my FIRST thought was, “they speak Spanish there?!” Someone in my student ward told me Virginia was FULL of hispanic gangs. I told him it was a good thing I’m so well versed in gangsta music- as my buddy Eminem would rap, “I’m not afraid…I’m not afraid.. to take a stand…” because, as we all know, there isn’t anything more terrifying that a huge white girl in a long skirt rapping in broken Spanish. God bless the small Hispanic man packing heat that tries to mess with me ;)
